Three Crosses - Seeds of Sorrow

A farmer works his promised land
Despite of what the weather man says
He gets up at five and works til nine
It takes a month to plant the seed
He works the earth beneath his feet
He longs for rain and harvest days

He wakes the damage is done
The storm he feared had finally come
Sometimes the fields we love
Are sown through seeds of sorrow

As I tried to write this song
I thought about the road I'm on
As the bus rolls on, we pass his farm
Many miles and endless days
We work so hard but still things
Don't seem to go our way
It tests my faith

Although we may never know why
I will always trust in You
Sometimes the fields we love
Are sown through seeds of sorrow

Seeds of sorrow, seasons of pain
Somewhere between faith and hope I wait
I wait for You

You know sometimes it makes me smile
When I look back at all of the trials
You brought me through, do You smile, too?
And in the end the autumn days
Will yield the crops with seeds You've laid
Oh, the harvest came in Your time

Now winter days have come
The Lord has shown me how to trust
This year I've learned how love can be
Sown through seeds of sorrow
